This special exhibit features stunning portraits of local plants, photographed at Oakton College in Des Plaines, by the artist and former campus naturalist, Ken Schaefer.

The images are presented in the captivating style of photograms—a darkroom technique that uses no camera, allowing the intricate structures and character of each plant to emerge in bold blacks, whites, and grays.
