Celebrating a Great Partnership for Youth and the Environment

We’re thrilled to recap our recent collaboration focused on empowering youth through environmental initiatives! The Izaak Walton League and the University of Illinois 4H Extension programs highlight our shared mission to engage young people in meaningful projects that benefit both them and our community.

4-H families gathered on this beautiful fall day, kicking it off with a walk to explore the IWLA Forest Regeneration Project, followed by a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Students led sessions that showcased various 4-H projects, allowing participants to discover what truly ignites their interests. This unique model empowers them to set their own pace, fostering essential skills in goal-setting and achievement.

These hands-on learning experiences not only enhance knowledge but also build a supportive community around shared passions. Together, we’re nurturing young minds and cultivating a brighter, more sustainable future for our environment, empowering the next generation of leaders to make a positive impact!
