Celebrating Community Kindness

Writer: Cynthia NielsenCynthia Nielsen

A  Heartfelt Thank You. We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with our community! The Izaak Walton League, nestled within the serene beauty of the forest preserve and housed in the historic Jefferson Home built in the 1850s, received a generous donation of gravel from Pat Mauro of Des Plaines Material & Supply.

Ed Beauvais and his team from The Maine Township Highway Commission volunteered to install much-needed gravel in our driveway. This act of kindness has made a significant difference in maintaining the accessibility and beauty of our beloved space.

Their combined efforts ensure our members and visitors continue to enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of our surroundings, without the worry of navigating a difficult driveway. This donation not only improves the functionality of our facility but also helps us preserve the historic charm of our club.

We extend our deepest gratitude, to Ed and Pat for their generosity and support. Your contribution is truly appreciated and will have a lasting and positive impact on our conservation league and the community we serve.

Thank you again for your support and commitment to preserving our local treasure.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The Izaak Walton League of America
