SIP 'n" SOW SEEDS A NIGHT OF LEARNING & GROWING!

Writer: Cynthia NielsenCynthia Nielsen

Last night the IKE's hosted a fantastic Sip 'n' Sow Seeds event in collaboration with GoGreen DesPlaines, Soil & Sprouts, and Backyard Prairies. It was an evening full of hands-on gardening, learning about native plants, and making connections with fellow nature lovers.

A Fun and Educational Experience

Joanna from Soil & Sprouts led a great presentation on winter sowing, teaching participants how to start native plants in the cold months. Meanwhile, Natalia from Backyard Prairies generously gave away native seeds to help everyone get started in their own gardens.

Thanks to Our Facilitators and Supporters

A special shoutout to Joanna and Natalia for sharing their expertise, and a big thank you to KT & Helmuts for their help in making the event run smoothly.

More to Come!

This event was just the beginning! We look forward to more opportunities to learn, grow, and share. Stay tuned for future events, and don’t forget to follow Soil & Sprouts and Backyard Prairies on Facebook for more gardening tips and updates.

Support Our Work

Donations were appreciated to support our forest regeneration and nature education programs—thanks to everyone who contributed!

See You Next Time!

Happy planting!
