Bonfire Bash

Updated: Nov 9, 2023

The weather cooperated, kicking the day off with a thrilling "Nature Scavenger Hunt," where families and friends roamed our scenic trails, discovering the hidden gems of mother nature. As they ventured further, the "Trail of Tales" left everyone captivated by the stories that have been woven into the tapestry of this beautiful landscape.

The little ones had a blast creating and carving a Pumpkin Totem Pole, showcasing their artistic talents and the spirit of the season. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the Hatchet Throwing event provided a unique challenge, while the Mask-making table allowed participants to express their creativity. And who could resist the excitement of the Glow Duck carnival game? Laughter and cheers filled the air!

Our clubhouse, the historic Jefferson Home built in the 1860s served as a cozy hub of warmth and hospitality offering steaming cups of Hot Apple Cider and Coffee to chase away the chill, delectable desserts that satisfied every sweet tooth, and a seemingly endless supply of Candy to fuel the day's adventures.

Throughout the event, countless photo opportunities abounded. Whether you posed near the "Skeletons Hanging Out," discovered hidden monsters lurking in the shadows, or simply reveled in the joy of the Bonfire while roasting marshmallows, the memories created were nothing short of magical.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to Carol for her dedication to creating engaging family-friendly events and to all who joined us in celebrating the wonders of the great outdoors. Together, we are not only preserving our natural heritage but also nurturing a deep and lasting love for the wild spaces that make our world so breathtaking.

Stay tuned for more adventures, more stories, and more chances to connect with the beauty of nature.
